The Pusthaka Niravu program, held on 18th November 2024, at K.E. School, Mannanam, was a grand success, bringing together esteemed guests and students to celebrate the joy of literature and learning. The program commenced with a prayer by the school choir, followed by a welcome speech by Mrs. Sijitha Anil, Administrative Board Member of the Kerala State Institute of Children's Literature. Mr. Palliyara Sreedharan, Director of the Kerala State Institute of Children's Literature, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of children's literature in shaping the future of society. The formal inauguration of the event was done by Mr. John V. Samuel IAS, and a special moment of the program was the honoring of the school's principal, Dr. James Mullassery CMI, by the collector for his outstanding achievements as an orator and lyricist. The felicitation session featured esteemed guests, including Mr. Suresh Kumar V, an award-winning author of children's literature, Mr. Shaji George, Vice-Principal of K.E. School, Mannanam, and Adv. Jaison Joseph, PTA President of K.E. School, Mannanam. Special prizes were awarded to students who won in poem recitation and reading competitions held by the school, and the program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Jini Joseph, Malayalam Faculty of K.E. School, Mannanam.
